About Stowe, Vermont
Stowe is an internationally known, four season vacation area.
Most visitors know about the legendary riding & skiing (downhill, x-country and back country)
on and around Mt. Mansfield, Spruce Peak and the Trapp Family Lodge.
Many are also familiar with the remarkable reds and yellows of fall. And an increasing number is discovering that Stowe is a fun surrounding
for a myriad of spring and summer events. Mountain Biking is
getting especially active.

September, October ->15
late summer / Foliage |
The leaves are notoriously difficult to time right. Best strategy is to take two weeks (last week in Sept & 1st week in Oct), use Stowe as your base, rent a sporty convertible and take road-trips north & south depending on where the peak leaves are.
|
Fall/Autumn activities
- foliage hikes - Pinnacle, Mt. Hunger, Mt. Mansfield. etc.
- foliage drives - local back country roads, the notch, north east kingdom, Toll road
- apple picking
- hunting (need license)
- mountain biking

SPA SEASON (STICK) |
An interesting time of year - most of the locals are in the woods chasing deer, the leaves are gone, it is cold and there is no snow. Better to check out Beckwith CONCIERGE's Spa Season Specials that combine exercise and reward - a good way to get in shape for the coming epic winter!
